saida501- thanks for the kind words. yes we sometimes incorporate photos as a starting point usually and fool around with layer settings til we get something juicy happening and use that as a starting point.

I'm thinking of taking that class at Otis at SOME point (when I get more comfortable) and wanted to get a feel of how they make you approach the work...very informative thank you. Could I ask you another thing: as for the paint-over the actual reference photos, do you remove/hide the photo layer at the final stage....? thank you kindly.
